Curry Night

Back in the states we used to do "Hump Nights" at Hot Rods with everyone - so it only seemed natural to have a "Hump Night" in England. The destination: The Railway. Only differences, now it's on Thursday & instead of Wings, Beer & Atmosphere we get Curry, Pints and Accents. The deal is one of 12 Curry dishes and a choice of a drink: a pint, a mix drink, soda or coffee all for 5 pound (about $8). It was delish! We also attempted an appetizer - Kevin decided on Lamb Kabobs....sounds safe enough, we like kabobs. Naturally, the appetizer hit our table about 5mins after our entrees did. And as soon as she placed our kabobs on the table I think I threw up a little in my mouth. The "kabobs" were two logs of brown/gray'ness thrown on a white plate. Ryan, a co-worker of Kevin's who came with, made several associations to cat poop. Nonetheless, being the trooper he is - Kevin tasted it. He mentioned, after the fact, that he probably shouldn't have gone through with the taste after cutting into it took a little bit of elbow grease. I covered the logs with my napkin and pushed them aside. No more lamb kabobs for us. We walk everywhere and of course as we're opening the door to leave there is a steady downpour..... Kevin suggested powerwalking home. So we did....But as I pointed out to Kevin, I think I have the advantage when it comes to powerwalking - my hips act like propellers when I get walkin fast.
